I've been working on a couple of paintings that, although the size is nothing unusual for me, a 4"x4" square gallery-wrapped canvas, the way I'm painting on them is different. I was looking at the canvas and I turned it from a square shape to a diamond shape and I started painting on it. First I checked with Jim, who usually wires my canvases for me, and asked if this would be a problem wiring. He said 'no' and I was off and painting.
I am excited to announce my new and improved website! To be completely honest, it is more exciting and new for me than it is for the internet world. The major change is how much easier it is for me to add new artwork to my site through the back-end. I used to have to add artwork to my site and then to Pay Pal to make it available for sale. A long process, I would wait until I had many pieces before I updated the site. But now the process is one entry for me and it shows up in my gallery and also in Pay Pal. Huge time saver - thank you to my web guy extraordinaire, Jim Fontaine (aka my husband)!
Since I've been writing and self-publishing my books, I have found my books worthy and valuable items to donate to Toys for Tots. This year, I'm happy to announce, I donated 10 copies of my hardcover book, "Eddie Easel and the Case of the Missing Green" to our local Toys for Tots.
I am happy to announce that the Lakes Region Art Association Gallery, located at the Tanger Outlets in Tilton, NH will remain open for another year!
The first year was a test to see how the gallery would do in this location. Since we have been successful with many people visiting, the LRAA board voted to keep the gallery open.
If you have never been here before, now is the time to visit as we gear up for the holiday season. And you are in for an eye treat as you view the beautiful artwork of many talented artists.
Yes, I'm still on the fruit kick. But it makes sense to me that I would love to paint them so much because I also love to eat fruit and enjoy fruit and yogurt almost every morning for breakfast. As I've mentioned before, I have even bought fruit (and veggies) because I thought I would like to do a painting of them.
In this painting, the two pears, a red and a d'anjou, are just hanging out on my counter, waiting to be cut up into a fruit salad. Yum!
