I was recently asked to judge a "Paint a Puppy" Contest, an event that was part of my town's Old Home Days. It is a fun event, sponsored by Rotary, and includes free cake and ice cream for all the residents who come to see the paintings.

In the past, residents have painted pigs and fish. There were two other judges this year and together we voted for 1st place, 2nd place, and 3 Honorable Mentions for the Adult and Children categories. It was a difficult choice but we finally agreed. Here are the 1st place winners.
