Here in the Northeast we are accustomed to long winters. And although I'm a big fan of the 4 seasons sometimes winter overstays its welcome! And like most New Englanders, I look for signs of an early spring, which means mid-April.
But I'm happy with just about any kind of flower that blooms in the spring. And if I can't find any buried under the snow, I'll usually buy a bouquet of tulips, one of our early spring flowers and one of my favorites that come in a variety of colors. They never disappoint and when the snow just won't quit, I can look at my bouquet of tulips on my table and know that they'll soon be growing in my garden.
