Not a day goes by that I don't think about my tiniest Pomeranian, Binka, at least once. And with her memories come the tears. I miss this little girl, who passed way before her time, everyday. Even though it has been more than 10 years it still feels like it was just yesterday that I lost her. 

Finally finished my latest commissioned portrait! It has been a very busy season as we are in the countdown to Christmas, but I always welcome a commissioned portrait. 

I recently got a commission to paint a dog. It is a referral, which are the best kind of commissions to get. This means I did an animal portrait for someone and they loved it so much they told someone about me and now that person wants me to paint their pet. 

I recently started working on this painting of a Merganser and her two chicks. I just love the 'wild' feather head of the female.

So, more than one month after my last blog, we are still remaining quarantined in our own home, away from others. Along with so many others, I'm getting really tired of this. Fortunately we have lots to do around our home (and I mean that literally, like cleaning the garage, the basement, projects in the yard - and we have many acres - the list goes on) and one of the things to do is paint. Now that the weather is beginning to warm up I am spending more time in my studio. I'm also looking forward to doing some painting outdoors.
